Ring Stick up Cam review-useful tips for choosing electronic products
The ring has proven its value when it comes to the bells of video surveillance, and even if the company has issued many different cameras in the past to complete the doorbell, Stick Up Cam is the first of its new products to be able to withstand the likes of Nest and Argo.

Available in both wired and battery-powered versions, Stick Up Cam is a very versatile camera that can be mounted in a variety of orientations for the best possible shot.

At a price of 799 AED for both versions, The Stick Up camera is easy to recommend to someone who is already in the Ring ecosystem and wants to add one or more cameras to their structure.

Design and installation
The Stick Up Cam is much more stylish than the old Ring security cameras, but not as sexy as the competition, mainly because of the rather large battery that is popular in Ring products.

We totally agree with this, as ring batteries are completely interchangeable on your devices, from doorbells to other cameras, easily surpassing the smallest / thinnest design.
The bullet Stick up Cam camera comes with a bracket attached to brackets that can be rotated to mount the camera on any flat surface. We mounted the camera on the side of the scale without any problems and got the right angle by adjusting the angle.

If you use a battery-powered version, there is a quick power-off switch that allows you to change the batteries. For the wired version, Ring provides a USB cable long enough to power the device. It’s nice to see that ring uses USB instead of a proprietary solution to power the camera.

As with the ring-shaped door bell, all kinds of Cam fixing tools are provided for installation, such as drills, fixing screws and screws.
Regular
Set up The Stick Up Cam ring is easy for both cables and batteries. If you choose the battery option, all you need is a charged battery and Wi-Fi access.

When using the cable option, you need to make sure that the power supply is nearby, plugs into a power outlet or over Ethernet. The Stick Up Cam cabling supports PoE, so if you have powered Ethernet ports, you can turn on the camera and connect it to the network with a single cable.

After installing the camera, settings can be made using the Ring app on your phone. It is a fairly simple process that works by scanning the QR code on the back of the camera.
Daily use
With the Ring app, you can define movement zones and times that automatically trigger recording when motion is detected based on your settings. One feature that we’d really like is to enable motion tracking when you’re out of the house, as seen on Google’s Nest cameras.

By default, the motion zones are divided into three horizontal sections of the camera’s field of view, and you can change the distance at which the camera can detect motion in each of these sections. You can also create custom zones to any shape you want more if you better fit the settings, but this is only available in the wired version.

With the motion zone set, the app can alert the user when motion is detected. This is fine if you live alone or with a partner, but we recommend turning it off if you have pets or children, just to avoid notification overheads.

The quality of the recorded video is quite good, and the fisheye lens captures most of the recording area. The wired version of the camera captures a slightly larger area; we assume this will optimize the battery-powered version to stay energized for a longer period.

Speaking of battery life, ring suggests you should have about three months of full charge. Much of this actually depends on the amount of movement and recording in your home. We managed to get a little less than a month for our first full charge.
If you agree with the latter part, Stick Up Cam offers a good security and surveillance solution and plays great with other Ring cameras or Amazon Alexa devices.
