HISTORY OF ADIDAS SAMBA
Adidas Samba has adopted many shapes and styles on more than one occasion, adapting to the trends of its time. Suitable for both work and festive events, Adidas Samba has become an iconic footwear that has convinced all mankind of its importance. It was a versatile masterpiece, suitable for all times.
But when did Adidas Samba come? Let’s start with the first ideas of its creator, Mr.
The famous today Adolf Dassler was engaged in his future business, as he began to be interested in tying his legs with leather and rubber. Dassler attended sporting events such as skiing, core pushing, javelin throwing and, of course, running long distances instead of baking bread. His father was a shoemaker and taught his son his skill, so soon Adolf already knew all the wisdom of this business.
Soon after, Adi’s older brother joined his team. After Rudolf Dassler finished his training as a policeman, Adi involved him in his case. The duo named their business Gebruder Dassler Sportschuhfabrik in 1924. The company was divided into two divisions: Adi led the technical side of the business due to his penchant for sports, while Rudolph was engaged in marketing and business. The two complemented each other so well that soon the production was adjusted and they began to produce 50 pairs of shoes a day.
Sales continued to increase, and 50 couples became 100 when they moved to a larger building near the Herzogenaurach railway station. News about them spread throughout the country, which allowed to expand production. At the same time, Jesse Owens was able to win a lot of titles during the 1936 Summer Olympics, and he gave the brothers the hope they were waiting for, despite the growing tensions between classes and governing bodies.
The real story of Adidas Samba
Soon there was an insurmountable abyss between the brothers. Rudolph founded his company, which was originally called Ruda, around the same time that Adi created Adidas in 1949. Its division led to the creation of two different brands, which fortunately have survived to this day and have continued to evolve. Friendship perished, but at the same time gave birth to the icon of modern fashion, immobile and unshakable among the dunes of the ever-changing Kingdom of footwear. Adidas Samba was born at the dawn of the 50s.
Adidas Samba were originally created for football players to keep their feet dry even after a few hours of vigorous play, protecting them from frosty winter hard ground. In 1950, the upper part of the sneakers was made of kangaroo leather, and the sole was made of rubber. On the side, for further support, the most famous 3 lanes appeared.
Not only protection and wear resistance made these shoes popular. People admired its simple, clean and classic appearance, which looked great both on and off the court.
Soon, these sports shoes became casual and were loved by many celebrities. The street style of sneakers also pleased the iconic figures of humanity. It is safe to say that Samba’s reputation is as reliable as The Rock Of Gibraltar.
One of the first fans of Adidas Samba Black became musicians. Freddie Mercury has been seen on more than one occasion with these sneakers, both on and off the stage. By the way, Rami Malek, who played the famous singer in Bohemian Rhapsody, also wore these sneakers. They were also used by members of the bands Blur, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys.
Female artists are also seen in this model. For example, Hayley Williams performed in them in her first performances in 2004. Adidas Samba was worn by Rihanna and Rita Ora when the latter crossed Beverly Hills.
Popular all over the world, Adidas Samba could not avoid the attention of Hollywood. The protagonists of several films and series wore this model. For example, Shaya LaBeouf used them in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen when a fragment of AllSpark fell from his hand. And Owen Wilson, in You, Me And Dupree, specifically promoted sneakers, wearing them for almost the entire movie.
The legacy of Samba
The materials and colors of this model are constantly changing in response to consumer requests for a certain period of time. At the same time, the creators were able to maintain the original appearance of the shoes.
To date, Adidas Samba retains its cult status. More than 35 million pairs of this model have been sold worldwide, making it the second most popular model among all Adidas shoes. In addition, Adidas Samba has been around for over 65 years and is the oldest Classic model produced and sold so far.
Adidas Samba Original is just one of many versions of these timeless sneakers. Despite the numerous color variations available on the market, the classic black and white version remains the most in demand.
Another favorite intersection is the classics-Adidas Samba with a white leather upper and black stripes and a rubber sole, which is known to have been in the collection of John Hill himself. That said, the number of variants of Adidas Samba continues to grow: for example, Adidas Samba primeknit knitted.
Adidas Samba Classic flat sneakers are particularly popular with skaters, just like Adidas Samba ADV. the adv incorporates a practical TPU clip on the heel, which allows you to tackle extreme sports such as parkour.
Adidas Samba Roses were designed specifically for Girls fans of this model. In these sneakers, you can safely walk along the catwalk and streets. And the wavy sole of Kamanda sneakers provides excellent grip on surfaces when walking.
